Privacy Policy
Effective September 23, 2026.
This policy describes what this website collects about visitors and what we do with it. It is written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email rodd@goldman.vi and we will give you a straight answer.
Who we are
Goldman Tax and Advisory is a tax and accounting firm at 9800 Buccaneer Mall #16, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands 00802. This policy covers the website goldman.vi only. Work we do for clients is governed by the engagement letter for that work and by our professional obligations as a CPA firm, which are stricter than anything on this page.
What this site collects
The site has no accounts and no login. If you contact us, you choose what to send: by email, by phone, through our scheduling page, or through the contact form.
The contact form collects your name, email address, business name and phone number if you give them, the topic you choose and your message. It is delivered to the firm by email through our email service provider and is not stored on the website. Our server briefly uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions.
In the background, the site uses three kinds of tooling:
- Google Analytics: anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from and what device they use. We use it to see which pages are useful.
- Meta (Facebook) pixel: tells us whether our advertising reaches people who visit, and lets us measure and improve those ads.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability.
Google Analytics and the Meta pixel set cookies in your browser. Those cookies identify a browser, not a person by name.
What we do with it
- Respond when you contact us, and set up the engagement if you become a client.
- Understand which pages are read, so we can write better ones.
- Measure whether our advertising is worth what it costs.
We do not sell visitor information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf under their own published terms.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Control how Meta uses your activity in your Facebook ad preferences.
Sensitive information
Please do not send Social Security numbers, EINs or account numbers through the contact form or by ordinary email. Clients share documents and sensitive details through our secure client portal.
If you email us or use the contact form, the correspondence lives in our firm email system (Microsoft 365). We keep business correspondence as long as professional-records rules require, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.
Booking
Consultations are booked through our scheduling page at book.goldman.vi, which the firm runs. What you enter there comes to us so we can meet with you.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults with tax matters. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date. We will not change what the tooling above does without updating this page.
